THE BENEFITS OF AN INTEGRATED SUPPLY CHAIN
Exploring GS1 Barcodes
The use of GS1-128 codes as an industry standard is becoming increasingly prevalent in industries such as Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Food Service and Manufacturing. This is where stock information accuracy and LOT tracking become critical as stock moves efficiently through a supply chain.
Datalinx Warehouse Manager fully supports the GS1-128 standard and is able to decode any of the GS1 Application Identifiers, and then map each data item inside Sage.
Session Topics
An overview of the GS1-128 standard and its core uses and benefits
A live demonstration of:
- A Miscellaneous Receipt of a stock item using standard bar codes vs. a GS1-128 bar code to see the operational advantages of using GS1-128
- The mapping of data decoded from a number of Application Identifiers into Sage X3
- A Sales Order Pick of a quantity of items covering a number of LOTs
- The creation of a GS1-128 stock label using the Work Order Receipt process.
By the end of the session you will see that Warehouse Manager is fully GS1 enabled and requires only Application Identifier mappings, many of which come with the standard package
Please note this is not a training session on the setup of Warehouse Manager X3 or the configuration/usage of the Business Transactions. It is a 40 minute introduction to the functionality that Datalinx can offer. If you require training or more detailed information this can be arranged on a 1-2-1 basis, tailored to your requirements.
