The power of the barcode - talking all things black and white
How can using barcodes benefit my business and which standard should we be using?
This session discusses the setup, function of barcodes and which ones are typically used and are beneficial within the supply chain. We look at why different barcoding types and standards are used and as always we do this in the context of Datalinx Warehouse and Works Manager.
The use of linear and QR codes and the data within
A barcode is a way of representing data in a visual, machine-readable form. Invented by Norman Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver and patented in the USA in 1951. Barcodes are scanned by optical scanners, and over time have been developed to incorporate rectangles, dots, hexagons and other patterns known as matrix or 2D barcodes, which can hold complex data and information.
